This is used to calculate the cost of your portrait, as the more subjects, then the more complexity for the Artist. It is quite easy to determine, but occasionally there is a question about how to calculate for certain photographs. Some examples:

1. Mom and Dad with 2 dogs, would be 4 subjects.
2. An exotic car with the Owner prominently in front of the car, would be 2 subjects (the car and the owner)
3. A family of 4 in front of their home, where the home is the background would be 4. The home is the background and does not count as a subject in this example.

Simply use your best judgment, as 99% of all photos are clear. Should you have a question, simply use your best judgment, and process the order. Although it is RARE, we will let you know if a mistake is found.

When you place your order, you will be given the choice to pick one of our three standard background colors, IF AND ONLY IF, you want to change the background in your photograph.

99% of our Portraits use the background in the photograph, as the background usually has some meaning to the portrait, and often adds to the overall look of the Portrait. We also understand there is occasionally something in the background you wish you could remove. No worries, as you can, if it is simple and easy to explain. Simply submit the photo and leave the "Natural" box checked. Then in the "Comments" section let us know the minor change you would like to make. As an example you might want the photo centered, or to remove a person or object in the background.

It is very important to understand what type of Portrait you want. Some customers choose one of each, as they are so different. Realistic is just that. The Portrait will look very similar to the Photo. It will show all detail and be a very realistic Oil Portrait of the photo.

Impressionistic is very different. It gives you an impression of the photograph. This style is harder to capture the detail, as it's importance is simply to give the impression, from the photograph. Many Customers and Artists believe this is more like an actual painting, than Realistic. It is important to note that the Impression Portrait will not show perfect facial details and be as clear as realistic.

It is very common to have a Horizontal photograph that would look best by cropping the photo and making it Vertical. Tell us what you want, and we will make it happen. If we think it might look better the other way, we will give you a call.

1. Select Browse then file manager window appears.
2. Browse to the file you want to upload and select the file name.
3. Select Open. The browse window closes and the file path name appears in the Upload box.
