When we first teamed up with the Chattanooga March of Dimes chapter, we got to meet the 2008 Mission Family for Chattanooga. We met the precious twins, Zeke and Emmie...so of course we had to capture them in an Oil Portrait. The twins were born January 2007 at 26 weeks, each weighing just over 2 pounds and both with life-threatening complications. It was 70 days before the entire family was home from the NICU.
The March of Dimes helps moms have full-term pregnancies and healthy babies. If something goes wrong, we offer information and comfort to families. We research the problems that threaten our babies and work on preventing them. Premature births have reached epidemic proportions in the U.S., endangering the lives of more than half a million babies every year. And it is growing at an alarming rate.
The March of Dimes Mission: To improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality. We carry out this mission through research, community services, education and advocacy to save babies' lives.
Oil Portraits will have a booth at the March for Babies on Sunday. We will be displaying Zeke and Emmie's portrait, along with other portraits to show everyone. We cannot wait to see everyone that is involved with the local Chattanooga March of Dimes chapter.
